A Deep Breath

A word from the heart of God: A deep breath.

If you’ve ever witnessed someone having an anxiety attack, the first thing you do is tell them to take a deep breath. Breathing deeply allows you to center yourself within yourself. I think it’s like you reminding yourself that everything’s okay, you’re actually standing still, and you’re actually breathing. Today, I’m sensing God ministering to us in a very personal place. By using the word “a deep breath,” I believe He wants us to slow down for a minute, maybe enter into a space of silence and solitude. Breathing deeply lowers your heart rate, reduces blood pressure, and calms your nervous system. I encourage everyone to make this a daily practice when you get up in the morning. It’s a beautiful way to center yourself with God, reminding you that every breath is a miracle and He should be thanked for that. A breath shouldn’t ever be taken for granted.

You are loved, Kris
