A Fire that Purifies

A word from the heart of God: A fire that purifies.

I believe many of us go through hard seasons. If you look at these seasons as fires, some would relate to beauty in ashes, others may relate to them as opportunities to rebuild, while some would say fire purifies. Zechariah 13:9 says, “And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people;’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’” The refiner’s fire is a metaphor for the crucible of God’s purifying presence. The refiner’s fire removes impurities from precious metals like silver and gold, just as God’s judgment is meant to purify and refine His people, removing sin and unrighteousness. I believe God wants us to embrace His Love, Grace, and Mercy as we go through the fires of life, ultimately seeking Him for righteousness and purification.

You are loved, Kris
