A Narrow Gate

A word from the heart of God: A Narrow Gate.

Luke 13:22-28 speaks about Jesus going through the cities and villages, teaching and journeying toward Jerusalem. Jesus said, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” The word of God is not a suggestion, it’s a command. If you see it as such, you quickly realize in this scripture how demanding Jesus’s words were when He spoke and this scripture shows how few would truly qualify. Matthew 7:13-14 says that broad is the road that leads to destruction and many will enter through it, but small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. In essence, many will enter the gate, but only a few choose the path that leads to life. I believe Jesus knew that the kingdom was open to all, yet its gate was narrow because true covenant requires true surrender.

You are loved, Kris
