A submissive heart

I don’t think people truly understand the beautiful divine meaning of the word submissive. Submission means to willingly come under the authority of another. This is why every true Christian should be a submissive person. Submission is the spiritual discipline that frees us from the everlasting burden of always needing to get our own way. Ephesians 5:21 says, “Submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Healthy submission when, seen through a mature lens, is a form of humility because it requires you to humble yourself, which can only be done when you come under the mighty hand of God. This submission, hence humble heart posture, actually positions you at the proper time to be exalted by God. Cultivating a humble heart and recognizing that God's wisdom far surpasses your own brings forth great peace. I encourage you to pray for guidance as you submit your plans to His will, obeying His word, and aligning your life with His beautiful promises.
