Alignment and Attachment

A word from the heart of God; Alignment and Attachment. 

Powerful word today. I’ve been praying a lot about alignment lately. I’ve been asking God to reveal His nature to me. The more you know God, the easier it is to align with people who carry His characteristics. Aligning with God means playing our part in the body of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul makes the analogy of the Church as the body of Christ, with Christ as the head. Every individual part comes together, playing its part, to form a functional whole towards the same purpose. I heard someone say: focus on those who are assigned to you and don’t place a lot of energy on those who are attached to you. This is a great word because the people God assigns to your life will give you life, while those who have attached themselves to you will drain you. God has chosen people for you. These people will align with Him and you will see that alignment by the fruit in their lives. Steer clear of people who attach themselves to you solely for their benefit. We should seek alignment, not attachment.
