Anointed Oil

A word from the heart of God: Anointed Oil.

Some people want to be anointed by the oil of heaven, but they don’t want to be crushed in preparation for carrying it. I’ve been crushed. Death, divorce, abandonment, fire, and destruction have crossed my path. In the suffering, I never blamed God. I wept at His feet and asked Him to sustain me. I allowed the pain to absorb into my being and I asked God to use it for His Glory. Pain can become a secret weapon when you allow your arsenal to be filled with the word of God. Isaiah 61:3 says, “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.” God replaces ashes, which represent deep sadness, loss, and mourning, with a crown of beauty. He trades sorrow for the “oil of joy” and a heavy spirit for a “garment of praise.” People who experience this restoration become like strong “oaks of righteousness,” planted by God to show His glory. I believe a mandatory requirement to be a carrier of anointed oil is a true place of surrender that requires deep personal crushing.

You are loved, Kris
