Bear all things with Joy
A word from the heart of God: Bear all things with Joy.
Wow, that’s a hard one. Bear death with Joy. Bear illness with Joy. Bear deceit with Joy. Bear suffering with Joy. The list can go on and on, but the Bible is clear. James 1:2 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” How do we do that? How do we bear all things with joy? The simplest answer is in Acts 2:28, “You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.” Joy is a state of being, and it differs from happiness, which may come and go. Happiness is usually measured by our circumstances, whereas joy is measured by what we have been given. We rest in joy in all circumstances if we rest in the presence of God. We have joy because of the grace of Jesus Christ that lives in us. We can hold onto joy, we can feel joyful, and we can rejoice with praise no matter what our circumstances may be, because no matter what is going on in our lives, God is always near. The Lord has told us that His Joy is in us, and when His Joy is in us, we are complete. You can bear ALL things with the Joy of the Lord.
You are loved, Kris
