Cleansing Fire

A word from the heart of God: Cleansing Fire.

These words, when separated, mean something very different than when combined. Cleansing is a good thing because it removes dirt and impurities. Fire is a powerful word in the Bible, which means purification, holiness, and judgment. I sense a cleansing fire coming to the church. I sense an urgency for those who love the Lord to come before the altar of the Lord in a gentle posture of repentance. We should have such a desire to seek His face, enter into His presence, and to hear His voice. Maybe today’s word will prompt us to examine our own hearts and kneel before Him to self-cleansing, so the Lord won’t feel the need to bring forth a cleansing fire that sweeps throughout His church.
