A word from the heart of God: Equity.
As a real estate developer and investor, equity is a word I hear often. In essence, when you have equity in something, it means you have ownership of an asset that is calculated as assets minus liabilities. Equity is the portion of something you own outright. In Galatians 3:28 it says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The verse means that all human distinctions of race, social standing, and gender do not create a hierarchy or change a person’s spiritual value and standing before God through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is by faith, not law. A believer's equity is found within the authority of Christ; that is eternal equity, and that is a true asset.
