Fire that purifies

A word from the heart of God: Fire that purifies.

When something is purified, it is made spiritually clean. In the world, it means all contaminants are removed. I think most people equate fire with darkness, evil, pain, and destruction, but that’s not what God created fire to represent. Fire in the Bible signifies the very presence of God. Luke 3:16 says John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” In this scripture, John directs focus away from himself to the "mightier" one who brings a new era of salvation and transformation. The Fire in this scripture symbolizes purification. Today, I pray that God reveals His beauty as His fire refines and purifies your beautiful soul.
