Hear My Voice

I often get asked questions about praying. It’s probably because they compare themselves to others and wonder if they are praying correctly. God desires that we own our own identity and forge our own relationship with Him. He never wants us to compare ourselves to other people. When praying we must understand that prayer, in essence, is a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God. It is a beautiful form of worship. The Bible says prayer is communication with God. We do this by praising Him, confessing our sin before Him, thanking Him, and asking Him for our needs and desires. Prayer is communion with our Creator. When we pray, we engage in loving fellowship with the Maker of heaven and earth. Myles Monroe said; This is how you pray. First you give thanksgiving, you thank God for what He has already done. Then, you declare His word because that is what God wants to hear. Then you declare promises that He made. That is your demand. And then you wait on Him. God always wants mediation, quietness. Lastly, you speak in tongues, letting the Holy Spirit to help you pray. Thanksgiving, declaration, quietness, and petition are the keys to hearing the voice of God.

You are loved, Kris
