A word from the heart of God: History versus Future.
Everyone has a history and everyone’s past is uniquely their own. There is no other person on this planet who has experienced exactly what you have experienced in life. This is important to remember because God created you solely to fulfill what only you can do. Hence, everything in your life has purpose. Your history doesn’t dictate your future; it supports it with the power of a testimony. If you see your past as a means to conquer your future, you become the overcomer rather than the victim. James 1:2-4 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Amen to that — NOT LACKING IN ANYTHING!
