Hold on to the Good

A word from the heart of God: Hold on to the Good.

This is a very special word today. I believe God wants to minister to our hearts. We live in a world filled with darkness. Darkness is cruel, evil, unpredictable, manipulative, and painful. Today, God is reminding us that although darkness is amongst us, it does not have to control us, nor does it have to dilute who we are. A perfect example is an Olympic gymnast. They train for years to be the best in the world. As they navigate life, I’m sure there are days when they feel sick, mentally stressed, discouraged, and even filled with doubt, but they press on. Why? Because they hold onto the good. They hold on to their purpose in life and they are determined to be victorious. We should follow that same example. There will be hard days ahead. Train yourself to seek pockets of joy every day. Train yourself to see the light and not the darkness. Train yourself to be optimistic, not pessimistic, and lastly, train yourself to see good first and darkness second. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9. God is always with you!

You are loved, Kris
