Loyalty

A word from the heart of God; Loyalty. 

I heard someone say loyalty means respect in presence and absence. Wow, isn’t that a powerful statement? In essence, I believe God is saying that what you do behind closed doors matters more to Him than what you do that others see. The question becomes, are you respecting God and those God has chosen for you when you are in their absence? Do you only respect people when you're in their presence and then disrespect them in their absence? Good question. The truth is if you do that, then you're actually disrespecting yourself. Every time you choose to be a different person when others aren’t around only dilutes your standards when it comes to God. Maybe the question we should be asking is; What are our standards and what does the devil use to tempt us to dilute those standards and disrespect ourselves and God. Loyalty should never be able to be turned off. Loyalty to God means every decision you make honors Him, even if that means it hurts you. Nothing is more powerful than silently praising Him with not only your words but your actions in private. We were created to please God and serve others. So let's never stop pleasing God.
