Mistake versus Habit

A word from the heart of God: Mistake versus Habit.

A mistake is an action, decision, or judgment that is misguided, incorrect, or produces an unintended result. A habit is a settled or regular tendency, often an acquired behavior pattern that becomes nearly or completely involuntary through frequent repetition. When you read these definitions, you clearly see the difference. People unwillingly make mistakes. A person who repeatedly returns to the same behavior over and over must understand that returning consistently constitutes a habit and not a mistake. Mistakes require repentance while habits require ownership, accountability, correction, and transformation. Learn the difference and you will see great fruit in your life.

You are loved, Kris
