Receiving Christ Himself

A word from the heart of God: Receiving Christ Himself. 

How do you position yourself to receive Christ Himself? I think it’s really important to understand that God sends His servants on assignments. You may encounter them without recognizing who they are. Matthew 10:40-42 declares, “He who receives you receives me.” This is a really powerful scripture because it shows us that we gain a reward for receiving God‘s people. Jesus tells us not to forget to show hospitality to strangers, that we are to treat God’s people with honor and hospitality as though receiving Christ Himself. It’s all about a posture of the heart. Surrendering oneself allows God to use you as a vessel and positions you to be tenderly used by God on assignments. You will reap from those assignments, as well as those who are in your path. Rewards are plenty. Treat God’s people with honor and hospitality. That is where you start.
