Refusing to Govern

A word from the heart of God: Refusing to Govern.

In Matthew 5:28, Jesus states that anyone who looks at a woman with “lustful intent” has already committed adultery with her in his heart. You are responsible for governing your eyes, your mind, and your mouth. That is not God's responsibility; it is yours. Faithfulness must be elevated to the highest standard possible; it should never be diluted. In your mind, you can dilute faithfulness by saying things like: I didn’t actually do anything; I technically never committed a sin, but that’s not truth. Desires and creative worldly workarounds violate covenants. Remember, your brain learns what you repeatedly reward with your attention to the extent that your appetite will eventually own you. True spiritual maturity requires you to govern yourself.
