Self-Reliance

A word from the heart of God: Self-Reliance.

There are moments when I just sit with myself. I think about my past, and surprisingly, I don’t think too much about my future now. When deep suffering crosses your path, there’s an opportunity for something beautiful to happen. There’s this place within you that becomes so reliant on God, that it almost feels like you share one breath. The person I used to be relied heavily on skills that were granted to me by God. That self-reliance was built out of necessity because I passionately wanted a different future than the one I believed I was destined for. I now understand that too much self-reliance can be very dangerous in your spiritual walk. My past has built the woman I am today and that woman relies 100% on God. You don’t need long suffering to teach you that. God is a God of covenant. He is infallible and His promises are eternal. We are to abide in Him daily, releasing all burdens of the anxieties and fears of tomorrow. Use the gifts given to you by God to live every day to the fullest, rooted foundationally in His Will, and watch as He brilliantly makes you shine, proudly displaying His Favor upon you.

You are loved, Kris
