Settled

A word from the heart of God; Settled. 

What is it to be settled? To be settled means to be fixed or established, unlikely to change. As we close out one year and look forward to entering into the next, a good question to ask would be; What characteristic of God do I want to be settled in? It’s a great question because too often people strive to change things about themselves without realizing that true change comes from striving to be Christ-like. Here are a few godly attributes you may want to strive to acquire. The Lord is holy, faithful, good, loving, just, merciful, wise, and powerful. It’s so easy to be settled in the things of the world. Social media is a constant tug toward vanity, lust, deception, and selfishness. Wouldn’t it be amazing if your perspective changed this year and your heart was drawn toward pleasing God? That every decision you make is settled in Him. When we are settled in Christ, we have faith in God. We submit to God's authority. We receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We live a life worthy of the Lord. We bear fruit in good works. We grow in the knowledge of God. We give thanks to God. We are clear representations of children of God.
