Tender

A word from the heart of God: Tender. 

Whenever I think of the word tender, a very sweet emotion rises up within me. The Bible highlights tenderness often, encouraging us to model the compassionate and gentle nature of God. The truth is, that sounds easier than it actually is. We live in a world filled with some inconsiderate, even rude people. Hence, inhabiting a gentle nature, in my opinion, requires you to be truly rooted in the peace of God. “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:31-32. I love the quote by Jane Austen: “There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.”
