The art of resilience

A word for the heart of God: The art of resilience.

I was standing in line at the grocery store and I saw this magazine that read: The art of resilience, the guide to thriving in challenging times. I thought about that for a minute and God spoke directly to my heart. He reminded me of Joshua 6. The Israelites had been through a few tough decades. They had endured hunger, thirst, heat, wandering, and punishments. The Israelites needed to be resilient in order to reach the Promised Land, which they did. We all experience hard seasons in life. These seasons can be seen as opportunities to grow and learn. Resilience pays off. If you want to build resilience, then you may want to increase your connections in life because more is always better than one. Giving to others exercises your generosity muscle, so give more. Stop winging things. Routines, good habits, self-care, rest, positive thinking, and most importantly prayer, hope, and trust in the Lord will build character and resilience. Remember, resilience is the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events. So get up, be positive, and move forward.

You are loved, Kris
