Wait for the Promise
A word from the heart of God; Wait for the promise.
Yesterday, I went out to eat with my 3-year-old granddaughter. I had a present and her mom told her she had to eat first and then she could open her present. I could see her looking at the gift in excitement and expectation. Finally, she couldn’t wait anymore. She rushed her meal and eagerly asked permission to open her present. With joy we obliged. I think we, as adults, are very similar. We know God is infallible. We know He is faithful. We know His word never returns void and yet we sometimes prematurely rush the promises of God. Today, I’m reminded of David. David was anointed 3 times; he was anointed to wait, then to serve, then to lead. We can biblically substantiate the fact that we receive an anointing for each of our respective seasons. Many are anointed to wait and then anointed to serve before they are anointed to lead. We are anointed to wait before we occupy the promise of God. I encourage you to be encouraged because it’s a blessing just to be anointed by God. Whether you are waiting, serving, or leading, we must all tenderly and lovingly wait before we occupy the promises of God. God's timing will always be the perfect timing.
You are loved, Kris
