When things are compounded

A word from the heart of God: When things are compounded.

I have experienced what it feels like to grieve multiple losses at the same time. When trauma is compounded, it results in deep grief and long suffering. I’m reminded of the scripture Romans 5:3-4, which says, “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” Long-suffering means enduring hardship, trouble, or provocation patiently and without complaint, often over a long period. A better way to look at it is through the lens of heaven, which would be long-tempered. This is a beautiful virtue and one that pleases God greatly. Long-tempered means you are “slow to anger,” showing patience and self-restraint in challenges, you exhibit divine love, and you move effortlessly in forgiveness, grace, and hope.

You are loved, Kris
