A Question Sets the Search
A word from the heart of God: A question sets the search.
Grief counselor Phil Cohen said, “A question sets the search. Instead of the question: Why am I so broken? Try asking the question: What does my body need right now?” The first question helps you hunt for what’s wrong with you. The second question helps you notice what needs care. Another beautiful question to ask is: How do I want to honor those that I lost with my life? I found this so profound. It’s true, the questions you ask change the search you embark on. The questions you ask and the words you use are not only describing your reality; they are creating it! Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” Choose your questions to yourself wisely. They will speak life or they will speak death over your reality.
You are loved, Kris
