One Day
A word from the heart of God: One day.
When I first lost my sons, there were no words that could properly articulate what I was feeling. The grief was too much to bear. It’s been a few years now, and there are days when it still feels like yesterday. I have now learned the sacred language of grief, and for that, I am grateful. Grief is a language. When you experience deep loss, you become a completely new person, and although the world around you has not changed, you have. The hardest part about grief is watching everyone around you act normal. You feel that way because, to you, your world as you know it completely ended. The truth is, life as you knew it did end and you’re now living in a world where you have to learn how to speak a whole new language. The beautiful thing is that with God you can learn the language and laughter and joy can re-enter your heart again. I’m so grateful that God has used me as a vessel to talk to the people who have newly landed in grief, so I can tell them: You're not broken. You are just new here and I’m a testimony that God will help you learn the sacred language of grief.
You are loved, Kris
