Abiding

A word from the heart of God: Abiding.

Abiding equals obedience. Abiding is a secure connection to the Holy Spirit. When you understand the word abiding, you understand its depth because it carries incredible promises. John 15:7 says, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you.” That is what a promise of God looks like. I really believe the word abiding is covenant language and a covenant with God is an eternal promise. Always remember that we are the branches and God will always prune us so that nothing hinders our continued growth in Him. Fruitfulness is the evidence of abiding in Christ. Measure your life against God’s word. Welcome His pruning. Seek an intimate relationship with Christ and begin to develop a faithful covenant partnership with Him.
