Love is a grace gift
A word from the heart of God: Love is a grace gift.
I heard Pastor Anthony Mitchell say that love is a grace gift that we owe to everybody. He said access must be earned. We do not owe everyone access, but we do owe everyone love. He said we can love people from a distance and we have the choice to broaden that distance. He said it’s important that we establish boundaries to protect our witness from being ruined by other people’s poor character. In essence, he is saying that we are expected to love and be kind to people with poor character, but we must use wisdom not to create intimate friendships with them, not to allow them to pray over us, and not to allow them to speak into our lives. Boundaries guarding our character are wise when dealing with people with a continuous, proven track record of poor character. Ultimately, we have to come to a place of wisdom and awareness of who to be intimate with, and that place is earned and tested by actions and visual reconciliation with the Lord. Love is a beautiful grace gift!
You are loved, Kris
