As you wait.

A word from the heart of God: As you wait.

Waiting can be difficult. We want what we want when we want it. No one really loves waiting. I’ve been on vacation this week in Barbados and the pace on the island is much, much slower. The local people call it island time. The people here move slowly, relax consistently, and appear to have little stress. As I observed them this week, I began to sense God asking the question: What are you doing while you wait? Waiting is just as important as receiving. So many people are living vicariously in what is coming and missing the blessing in the waiting, as well as in what is right in front of them. Psalm 130:5 says, “I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Think about that; “as we wait,” our whole being should be rested in the word, for that is where our hope rests. Whatever is before you, no matter how big or how small, lay it down and truly rest in the loving truths found in the word of God. Your Heavenly Father is with you as you wait and for that you should be grateful and encouraged.

You are loved, Kris
