Beneficial

1 Corinthians 6:12 says, “I have the right to do anything but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything but I won’t be mastered by anything.” In this scripture, Paul is saying anything is permissible to me, which means I, with my own free will, can choose anything I want but then he says that not everything is beneficial. I heard a Pastor say that your life should be controlled by what is beneficial. The truth is, why would someone choose to accept something that is not beneficial, I don’t think they would. The real question is, how do you know what is beneficial? I believe vision disciplines you to make decisions correctly. Once you have vision you acquire the desire for the knowledge necessary to grow that vision. Knowledge prompts growth and growth prompts the desire to make quality decisions. This is so vital because you process the power to make your own decisions and not all decisions are good decisions. The only decision that is a good decision is one that is beneficial to you. When something is beneficial it means something that is favorable or advantageous, resulting in good. Embrace a vision that honors God then align your choices with that righteous vision and the fruit of those choices will be divinely beneficial.

You are loved, Kris
