Consequence

A word from the heart of God: Consequence.

I think we gloss over this word in life. True maturity means you accept the consequences that come with the choices you make. Yesterday at church, there was a beautiful guest speaker. She said, “God forgives you, He has mercy upon you, and He extends you grace, but that does not mean you are not held accountable for the consequences of the choices you make.” I believe many people think that because they say they’re sorry about something, it will change the consequences of their actions. Some people would call this a victim mindset. We must move maturely if we’re going to represent God the way He deserves. If you do something outside of His will, it will have a cost, and that cost will be seen in worldly consequences. All I can say is: hold the consequences with maturity and honor God with accountability, true remorse, genuine repentance, and full transparency.
