Enlighten me, Lord

A word from the heart of God: Enlighten me, Lord.

Today, I sense God saying, “Ask me to enlighten you.” In the Bible, “enlightened” refers to a spiritual awakening, in which God opens a person’s heart and mind to understand divine truth, transforming them from darkness to light in times of struggle. My plea to God in times of struggle has been: “Come, Lord, I need you.” In essence, I now understand that I was saying, “Enlighten me, Lord.” God loves to bring forth insight and our job is to listen, move obediently, humble ourselves, and move in faith. “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16:13. It’s time to step out in faith and lift your voices. God has something to say, so ask Him: “Enlighten me, Lord,” and move in bold Faith when He responds.
