The Giver
A word from the heart of God; The Giver.
We give because things have been given to us. So many people take their gifts, talents, and even life for granted. There is a giver of gifts, a giver of beauty, a giver of morality, a giver of imagination, a giver of daily breath, and ultimately a giver of life. God is the Giver of all. God, the giver of life (Genesis 2:7), has the right to end any life if and when He chooses (Job 1:21), but man does not unless God grants it to him (I Samuel). God GRANTS that; it's what He does and we must respect and honor that sovereignty. God is the Creator and Source of life. He does not make death (evil or bad things), nor does He rejoice in the destruction of life. He encourages us to allow Him to carry our pain and suffering. We must always remember that the very nature of God is He is a giver, not a taker. Loss is not the end of the story. God wants you to give Him your pain and trust Him in it, as well as your love to love with Him and through Him. God is the greatest giver of all, with no mortal limitations, no imperfect motivations, and with no questionable intentions. Praise God today, for He is the giver of life and the giver of light. May you rest in and through His unfailing, unwavering love. WE give because things have been given to us.
