Grief

A word from the heart of God: Grief.

It's been over three years since my sons joined the Lord in Heaven. When they first passed, many people said, “Time heals,” or “It gets easier with time.” I now know that is not true. There are days when the pain and deep sadness feel like the loss was yesterday. I now understand that love does not pay attention to a calendar. There is no timeline for when it comes to the loss of someone you loved. Grief changes you and that’s ok. God never intended for us to be separated from those we love. He always intended for us to live eternally with one another. This world is an example of a different outcome due to sin. In this world, there is pain, suffering, and tremendous grief. Honor your grief, for it’s a beautiful example of a love that has no scale. A love that words can not measure. A love that will never heal itself away with time, but rather rest within you for eternity. Carry your love, loss, grief, and pain with God, knowing with great confidence that His spirit dwells within you in a shared space called Sacred Love. Love does not pay attention to a calendar! There is no timeline with loss. Love is eternal!
