Guard

A word from the heart of God: Guard. 

Powerful word today. When I think of the word Guard, I think of a guard dog. A guard dog is trained to do one thing, and that is to guard their owner. Guarding something is a powerful thing because when you guard, you watch over something in order to protect it from harm. In my opinion, people guard their homes, their families, even their hearts at times, but they don’t guard their words in the same manner. The book of Proverbs tells us that life and death are the power of the tongue. You have to guard what you say because it will affect what you believe. Unbelief comes when your words don’t align with or agree with your thoughts. Our words must align with the word of God. I think many people get confused with feelings and feelings can be deceptive. Just because you feel something doesn’t make it truth. Truth stays, feelings move daily. Today’s word is a wonderful reminder to guard your words, to speak life over yourselves, and to be mindful of who we are allowing to speak into your life. Guard your words!
