Hands that hold and wound

A word from the heart of God: Hands that hold and wound.

As I prayed today, I sensed God saying: The same hands that hold you can not hurt you. That is beautiful when you really allow the words to penetrate your spirit. God will never send someone into your life under the pretense of love and allow an invasion of pain. Real love accepts, admits, protects, nurtures, and uplifts. Real love never leaves intentional wounds. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” Love is the source of who God is. Scripture calls believers to experience God’s love and to demonstrate that same love toward others. God would never place you into hands that hold you while simultaneously wound you. The hands that hold you should always be hands that genuinely reflect Christ.

You are loved, Kris
