Yield

A word from the heart of God: Yield

If there was ever a word that we should memorize, this would be it. Yielding signifies a posture of humility, trust, and obedience, actively giving up personal control and desires to follow divine guidance and purpose. To me personally, this word speaks directly to the significance of yielding to the voice and will of God. With all the distractions of the world in addition to commitments and daily challenges, yielding to God’s voice can be difficult. The difficulty is not because we don’t desire it. The difficulty may be that we don’t intentionally create an atmosphere to hear it. You can only yield to God’s voice if you train yourself to hear it, and you can only yield to God’s word if you train yourself to know it. I believe the first step is the “Yes.” In the midst of everything going on in your life, humble down, get on your knees, and say, “Yes, Lord, I surrender my plans to you, use me as a vessel. Help me to yield to your voice and your word, Amen.”

You are loved, Kris
