Instructions vs suggestions

A word from the heart of God: Instructions vs suggestions.

I think sometimes people believe what God instructs us to do is actually suggestions rather than what it really is, which is divine and sovereign instructions. When you view something as a suggestion, it can come across softened, palatable, and it can conform to culture. Viewing God‘s Word as suggestive laws, policies, and commandments creates an environment for faith that can be built around man-made covenant terms rather than biblical foundational instructions. The Lord does not hint or suggest. God‘s Words are commands, not options. His Word serves as guardrails to keep His followers on a narrow path, and there are clear warnings that are not symbolic, but rather judicial. The language in the Word of God is very clear and unmistakable and should be seen as such. Nothing in God's Word is suggested, but rather instructed. We must remember that the Word itself will judge us; hence, God's Word should always be respected and revered.

You are loved, Kris
