Never Lose Your Identity

A word from the heart of God: Never lose your identity.

Learn from others but never become them. God created you to be uniquely you. If you’re in a work environment, learn from your boss, learn from your managers, but resist your desire to be them. We live in a world that encourages us and almost trains us to follow other people. I heard a Pastor say, “When you imitate a person, you lose your value.” That’s a pretty profound statement. God gave you a unique personality, so protect it, enjoy it, and be proud of it. There is no other person like you on the planet. You are original and God made sure of that. The truth is God never repeats anything. I believe God hates duplicates, which is why even the things on your body are not the same. Your hands are not the same. Your eyes aren’t the same. Your feet aren’t the same. It’s truly amazing. Look at nature — leaves aren’t the same. Even the sand on the beach isn’t the same. It’s remarkable. God loves original things. Learn to highlight your differences; they make you uniquely you and beautifully you.
