Purity

A word from the heart of God; Purity. 

I sensed such a tenderness today as I prayed. It’s almost like a parent gently holding their newborn for the first time. How beautiful is that first moment? That child is born in its purest form. Purity in general means freedom from contamination. Unfortunately, we live in a world that is polluted with toxins, so natural purity is impossible to achieve but spiritual purity is obtainable. A good question to ask may be; how do I get pure for God? Being that we are not pure people by nature, seeking God for a pure heart is a great start. Having a heart that fears and loves God and wants to do the things that bring Him glory is another way to seek purity before the Lord. I also believe accountability, self-control, and humility help us purify ourselves daily. Ultimately, spiritual purity is about constant worshiping. It’s about relentlessly seeking God and dying to oneself every single day. A pure walk is not perfect but it is prayerful.
