Safe to Exhale

A word from the heart of God: Safe to exhale.

When you go through any form of grief, trauma, or pain, sometimes peace becomes unfamiliar. If you’re struggling with peace, it’s okay. Your body is just adjusting because you came through something really hard. Trauma can leave a mark and that mark takes time to go away. Because you’ve been in survival mode for so long, sometimes your body doesn’t know that the war is over and it’s time to rest. Today’s word is all about practicing peace. It’s about allowing yourself to rest. It’s about telling yourself that it’s okay to be still, it’s okay to be quiet. It’s okay to do nothing. And it’s okay to feel good. Today, I believe God wants you to practice exhaling. God wants you to feel safe again and peace is part of that journey. John 16:33 says, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” You are closer to Heaven than you think. Peace be with you. It is safe to exhale.

You are loved, Kris
