Willingness

A word from the heart of God: Willingness.

I don’t think we think about this word enough. The truth is, you really need to know what you’re willing to do and what you’re not willing to do. What you’re willing to put up with and what you’re not willing to tolerate. Having strong boundaries in life will serve you well. Proverbs 4:23 declares: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” The Bible defines the heart as your inner self, including your thoughts, feelings, values, and will. Setting personal limits acts as a guard or a gate rather than a stone wall, protecting your emotional and spiritual health from toxic environments. Establishing a boundary does not mean you lack love. It means you recognize what God has made you responsible for and what you must keep out to stay healthy and focused. Your “yes” must mean yes, and your “no” must mean no.

You are loved, Kris
