Sin doesn’t just derail, it delays

A word from the heart of God: Sin doesn’t just derail, it delays. 

Sin withholds God's blessings from hitting our homes, our families, and our walk with Christ. When we disagree with God, we hurt His heart. When our life patterns disagree with God, we can’t align with Him. Many convince themselves that they are good people doing good things, but lose sight of the numerous missed steps that have now forced a posture that does not align with God. When your heart is contaminated, your actions will reflect the same. A beautiful man of God, Gabriel Gauthier, wrote, “We consider flaws patterns that don’t align, rather than opportunities to welcome God’s correction.” Repentance is the only way to unlock what sin has blocked. And there’s no shortcut to that. Repentance means you walk in the opposite direction of what you used to agree with. Repentance is a literal turnaround towards God‘s voice and will. Remember, sin doesn’t just derail, it delays and why would anybody voluntarily want that?
