You Can’t Win in the Middle

A word from the heart of God: You can’t win in the middle.

I was watching something the other day, and I heard that saying and I thought about it for a minute. To me, it means you have to pick a side in life. You can be hot, you can be cold, but you can’t be lukewarm. You can be angry, you can be joyful, but you can’t be numb. You can be good, you can be bad, but you can’t be neutral. The Bible says we are to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. The Bible cautions us to be aware of fake people who have the appearance of godliness, but deny its power. We are urged to avoid such people. Revelation 3:15-16 says, “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” Do not be indifferent in life, but rather be devoted to God. Let that posture be known to all those who know you, not by words, but by actions.

You are loved, Kris
