You’re not their Jesus

A word from the heart of God: You’re not their Jesus.

Hard truth right here. Too often, we attach ourselves to people because we believe we can save them. Here’s the truth: we can never be another person’s Jesus. We can never be another person’s answer. We’re not built to carry other people‘s weight; we are built to lay our own weight and the weight of others at the feet of the Lord. God and God alone is the rescuer, the redeemer, the deliverer, the refuge, and ultimately, the Savior. We have a Jesus and He is awe-inspiring. We don’t need to be Jesus to another person. Being like somebody and actually thinking you are that somebody are two different things. Our job is to be an example of Jesus and to pray for others. The Lord’s job is to pull them through, to remind them of who they are, and to love them unconditionally. God‘s infallible and we are not. He will never stop what He starts and He will never fail, but we can. It’s time to rest, trust, and believe that God can do what we were never meant to do.

You are loved, Kris
