A song of the heart

A word from the heart of God: A song of the heart. 

I don't know about you, but there are certain songs that when I hear them, they resonate so closely to my heart. In the Bible, a “song” is a profound expression of the heart used for worship, celebration, lament, or instruction. Songs are a powerful vehicle to declare God’s truth. That’s probably why when you’re listening to certain worship songs, they bring you to tears. The Psalms frequently command believers to sing to the Lord a new song, and that's exactly what we should do. Today, we should sing an internal song of praise and gratitude as a response to God’s daily mercy and His ongoing work of salvation in human lives. We should always be aware of our internal song to The Lord.
