Eternal

A word from the heart of God: Eternal.

I’m not sure we truly understand the depth of the word eternal. Words roll off our tongues so easily, so loosely, and I’m not sure we always connect them to their divine meaning.  A word like eternal requires our full attention. As I sensed this word today, I couldn’t hold back my tears. Eternal to me is very personal because it connects me to my boys, who are now with the Lord. The Hebrew word for eternal is וָעֶד (le'olam va'ed), which means forever and ever. Eternal describes things without beginning or end, like God's nature and His everlasting life promised to believers. God is unchanging, an ever-present being. He is the "everlasting covenant," the "everlasting gospel," and the future "eternal life". It is my prayer that you go deeper with the Lord this upcoming year. I pray that you absorb this word God has for us today and allow everything in your life to touch ETERNAL!
