Instill
A word from the heart of God: Instill.
The word instill means to slowly and gradually put an idea, feeling, or value into someone's mind. A great example is a parent. Parents try to instill good manners and a love for reading in their children. They do this at an early age because they understand the value of instilling good things early in life. The Bible has many scriptures that highlight passing down God's truth to the next generation, memorizing scripture, and using God’s word for daily guidance. A well-known scripture is Proverbs 22:6: “Train children in the right way. When they grow old, they will not turn away from it.” One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 119:11: “I hide your word in my heart so that I will not sin against you.” I believe today’s word is a beautiful reminder to instill God's word in everything we do, so we are a true reflection of love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, and goodness.
You are loved, Kris
