Loyalty

A word from the heart of God: Loyalty.

This word means a lot of things to a lot of people. The world says loyalty is the steadfast, unwavering commitment, faithfulness, or devotion to a person, organization, duty, or cause. The Bible says loyalty is a relational, covenantal devotion rooted in steadfast love and unwavering allegiance to God and, by extension, to others. In a covenant, love is expressed through loyalty. Obedience is not legalism; it is alignment. When you align yourself with the word of God, and you are devoted and rooted to an unwavering allegiance to God, loyalty can be seen through that love, and the overflow of that love to God flows over to your faithfulness and devotion to others. It’s all about divine alignment.
