Not optional

A word from the heart of God: Not optional.

So many people in life walk in lukewarm spaces. That means, they find ways to excuse behavior. Covenant does not permit selective obedience. John 12:48 says, “He who rejects me and does not receive my words, has that which judges him, the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” This scripture is pretty clear and should humble everyone. We are not perfect people and mistakes are inevitable, but mistakes are much different than decisions. The scriptures we read are commandments. They are not suggestions from a teacher. They are declarations from a King and we should honor them as such with all of our decisions. Many of the things we think are optional, are not.
