Made for more

A word from the heart of God: Made for more.

What did you feel when you first read those words? It’s a great question to ask yourself. The apostle Paul writes: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.” Ephesians 1:18-19. Paul is saying, “I am made for more; I have great power.” This is a great scripture to play in our heads every time we’re tempted with guilt, rationalizations, or self-doubt. We need the power of God within us. We are made for more, but we must see what God sees when He looks at us to truly fulfill our destiny. It is His strength, His heart, and His power that make us great, not our own. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for the truth that I am made for more. Help me to soak this truth in and to live it out every day. Open my eyes and my heart so I may believe and receive what You have for me today. Show me a new perspective as I seek to honor You with my choices. I am made for more! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
